1998
After being without a bike for a few years, Tim Langley, a
software engineer, and Ryan Nelson, a civil engineer,
decide to buy new motorcycles one day on a whim. Ryan and Tim
are next door neighbors in Birmingham, AL, and both just want to
ride. Ryan buys a
new 1997 Yamaha YZF600 and Tim buys a new 1998 Suzuki Intruder the same
day. Soon they get hooked up with The
Floribama Riders by Greg Calhoun and old friend of Tim's and are encouraged to get the correct
safety gear and shed
their squidliness before they hurt themselves (luckily).
1999
Tim Langley sells his Suzuki Intruder to get a brand new
2000 Ducati ST4.

Numerous local and long distance motorcycle rides are led by the Floribama
Riders.
Tim Langley and Ryan Nelson ride their first track day at Talladega Gran
Prix. The track day was hosted by the Floribama Riders and
organized by Jeff Rozycki.
2000

Tim Langley and Ryan Nelson attend California Superbike School at Motorsports Park outside of Ft. Worth, Texas in
June. Soon thereafter two Suzuki GS500's are purchased as race
bikes.

Ryan and Tim both get WERA race licenses by completing the Ed Bargy
school at Talladega, along with fellow Floribama Rider Henry Avello.

George Barber announces plans for the Barber Motorsports Park in
Birmingham. Tim Langley and Ryan Nelson attend the public hearings
at City Hall along with The
Floribama Riders.

Tim Langley and Greg Calhoun purchase 29 acres in Vandiver, Alabama, and
with much sweat, effort, and money, start 29 Dreams Motorcycle resort
just 8 miles from the site of the Barber Motorsports Park.

2001
The racing begins!

Tim Langley and Ryan Nelson both go racing on their identical GS500's,
accompanied by long time racer and fellow Floribama Riders, Jeff "Jeffro"
Rozycki, Stu Vernon, Henry Avello, and Jeff Adams. Tim decides by
the end of the year that racing is not for him. Ryan learns the
hard way by crashing one of the GS's and blowing the engine in the other
GS the same day at Roebling Road.

Ryan decides he needs a bike with a rev-limiter and buys a 1989
FZR400. Ryan races the bike the rest of the year in the WERA
Sportsman series. Joe Morris, another Floribama Rider, joins the
racing scene on an SV650.

Later in the year, Joe Morris, Henry Avello, and Ryan Nelson get their
first taste of endurance racing by entering Joe's SV650 at the VIR
round.
2002
29 Dreams enters the racing scene full tilt by sponsoring
Joe Morris, Ryan Nelson, and Jeff Rozycki on the 29 Dreams endurance R6,
with Scott Padgitt as the unpaid volunteer bordering-on-charity-work
crew chief..

The poor R6 made it the entire season of
4 and 6 hour races and a couple of crashes without a mechanical problem.
The team placed 4th in
class at the end of the year by shear persistence. Endurance racing was an amazing
experience since there was a ton of logistics to work out getting all
the gear and the people to each of the different tracks. The trio raced
at 11 different tracks all around the country over the span of the
season. Ryan's parents,
brother, as well as many Floribama Riders members help crew and score
and paid there own way. All three riders had an amazing experience
accumulating many hours of race time against some of the nation's faster
riders, while trying to run a national endurance series on a tight
budget.
2003

Ryan Nelson raced a 1989 Superbike FZR400 in WERA Regional Sprints, but
didn't run enough rounds to get an invitation to the WERA GNF and just
got used to racing an FZR400 again. 29 Dreams expands its kitchen
and Tim Langley retires from the software business to run 29 Dreams full time
purchasing Greg Calhoun's share of 29 Dreams to become the sole owner of
29 Dreams.
2004

Once again under the 29 Dreams banner, Ryan Nelson raced a 1989 Superbike FZR400 in WERA Regional Sprints.
He finally won the WERA D Superbike Novice National Championship!!! Wooo-hooo!
Ryan gets married to "Ms. Sunshine"
Andrea! 29 Dreams keeps expanding and is becoming a premier
motorcycle destination.
